Vermentino

Vermentino

It is native of Spain, and through Corsica it arrived in Sardinia in the nineteenth century, in Santa Teresa di Gallura.
It is an early ripening grape variety and in warmer areas it’s harvest begins already from the first week of September. It adapts quite well to different climates and soils, and it resists to bad weather and fungal diseases.
The varietals Vermentino are typically dry wines, pale yellow, with intense aromas of wildflowers, aromatic herbs and a hint of yellow peach.
